Google will announce new products and services for game developers during its keynote at the March Game Developers Conference (GDC).

“Everything kicks off with the Google for Games Developer Summit Keynote on Monday, March 16th where product leaders from across Google will share the biggest announcements for game developers,” Google’s Kacey Fahey writes. “After the keynote, join in on two days of developer sessions to learn how to use Google solutions to create great games, connect with more players, and scale your business.

You don’t need to be at the show, which is in San Francisco, to see Google’s keynote: The firm will stream it live online. (You can sign-up here to get updates, including a link to the livestream.) But if you are at the show, Google says it will have demos and one-one-meetings with product experts at its booth.

It will also offer the following sessions at the show (which I assume will be viewable on replay later):

Tools for Development and Optimization, Reach More Devices and Users, Go-To-Market with Google Play, Optimizing the Fun While Scaling to a Global Audience with Firebase, Enhance the Real-World Gaming Experience, Accelerate Your Business Growth with Leading Ad Strategies, The Future of Gaming with Google Cloud, Launch and Run Your Global Game with Google Cloud, Data Analytics and Databases for Games, Multiplayer Game Services with Google Cloud and Stadia, Bringing Destiny to Stadia: A GDC Postmortem, Bringing Vulkan Graphics into the Mainstream, Mastering Cloud Gaming: Tales from Stadia’s Launch, Bringing Google’s Machine Learning to Game Development, Super Charge Your Game’s Discoverability, and The Journey of Bringing Our Unity Game to Stadia.

You can learn more from the Google for Games at GDC 2020 website.

This is all great but I don't think their business model of asking a subscription fee and charge for the individual games will stand a chance against Xcloud + GamePass.
