Surface Pro 11 – 4k problem external monitor.

I am having a major issue getting the new Surface pro 11 to work with a BenQ 4k monitor at anything over 30hz . Things like this are table stakes and I should not be even having to write this post.

I have a thread going on reddit if anyone has any ideas, will be investigating more myself over the weekend but suffice to say i have tried multiple cables and updated the firmware of the monitor !! This just worked on my macbook pro and even my Dell XPS 9710.
