YouTube Playables, a collection of free-to-play mobile games has started rolling out to all users of the streaming service. Google has been testing the service since last year, and more than free 75 games will be accessible directly on YouTube, either on the desktop or the mobile apps.
“Playables are a fun, interactive way to experience YouTube — with lightweight, entertaining games like Angry Birds Showdown, Words of Wonders, Cut the Rope, Tomb of the Mask, and Trivia Crack and so many more that you can play right now,” the YouTube team announced. “You can also save your game progress and track your all-time best scores.”

Google warned that it will expand access to YouTube Playables to all users over the coming months, so you may have to wait to see the collection of free-to-play games. Anyway, you should look for a new “Playables” section in YouTube’s Explore menu where you’ll find a list of 75+ mobile games. These games can also be shared with others by opening the three-dotted “More” menu.
Bringing free casual games on YouTube is a way for Google to keep users engaged on the platform, which currently has over 2 billion monthly active users. LinkedIn also recently launched its own game hub, which includes three logic games allowing users to compete with their professional network. Netflix is even more serious about gaming with a growing catalog of big-budget games like the remastered GTA trilogy. However, Netflix’s games require to be downloaded from Apple’s and Google’s mobile app stores.
