Microsoft Announces All-Digital Xbox Series X and 2TB Special Edition Model

All-Digital Xbox Series X

Microsoft concluded its Xbox Games Showcase today with three new Xbox Series X|S consoles coming in the holiday 2024 season. First of all, there’s an all-digital Xbox Series X that will be available in select markets for $449.99/€499.99.

Pictures of a white all-digital Xbox Series X leaked back in March, and the console we’re seeing today appears to be similar. This disc-less version of the Xbox Series X will sport the same “Robot White” color as the Xbox Series S, and it will keep the standard 1TB of SSD storage.

Microsoft also introduced today the Xbox Series X – 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition. This new version of the Series X with twice the storage will come with a unique design, though it will only be available in select markets (and in limited quantities) for $599.99/€649.99.

“Drawing inspiration from constellations and the spirit of exploration and adventure that outer space evokes, the special edition console in Galaxy Black features a silver, grey, and green celestial effect representing thousands of games and millions of gamers playing on Xbox,” the Xbox team explained. The console will also come with a unique controller with a matching Galaxy Black D-pad and Velocity Green back case.

After launching the Xbox Series S 1TB in Carbon Black back in September 2023, Microsoft will soon offer the 1TB Series S in white: The Xbox Series S – 1TB in Robot White will be available in select markets for $349.99/€349.99 during the holiday season, and the Carbon Black version will remain available for purchase while supplies last.

Microsoft will open pre-orders for these new Xbox Series X|S models in the coming months. Sarah Bond, the new President of Xbox also reiterated today that the Xbox team is hard at work on the next console generation.
