DaVinci Resolve Now Supports Snapdragon X-Based PCs in Beta

Blackmagic Design today released DaVinci Resolve 19 Beta 3 with native support for Windows PCs based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X family of chips.

For those unfamiliar, DaVinci Resolve is a free but incredibly powerful professional video editing solution that’s used by Hollywood and has won Emmy Awards.

“DaVinci Resolve has been fine-tuned to optimize performance of the DaVinci Neural AI Engine, with NPU acceleration giving customers up to 4.7x faster performance of AI tools such as magic mask and 2x faster performance for smart reframe on computers using this new processor,” the announcement explains. “DaVinci Resolve 19 public beta 3 for Windows on Arm using Snapdragon X Elite is available for download now from the Blackmagic Design website.”

DaVinci Resolve 19 delivers new DaVinci Neural Engine AI tools and over 100 feature upgrades, all of which will be fully supported on Snapdragon X. These include a ColorSlice six vector palette for producing rich film tones, DeFocus Background, Ultra NR noise reduction, Music Remixer FX, an IntelliTrack AI for optimizing tracking and stabilization, AI voice isolation, AI audio panning, and many others.
